Overview
A potent symbol of a steelworks, blast furnace is a facility to produce hot metal by smelting iron ore.
We demonstrated our enormous capabilities for providing large-scale blast furnaces by construction of No.5 blast furnace at KL steelworks recently and revamping three blast furnaces at Pohang Steelworks and four at KL Steelworks. In particular, in June 2019, we successfully carried out the second revamping project for No.1 blast furnace at KL steelworks, which has the world’s largest capacity with 6,000㎥.
Furthermore, our business region is expanding into all over the world as well. We provided blast furnaces with high productivity and availability with low operating cost to PT.KP in Indonesia.
Based on our international experience in building blast furnaces, we are evolving into a global player with the best technology in the field of blast furnace engineering.
